AWSSMC takes over firefly lane wine bar in downtown loudon
Club members gathered for a chapter special event on May 26th at the Firefly Lane Wine Bar in downtown Loudon for a great evening of wonderful wines, good food, and great company. Our sommelier, and club member, Joanne Wojdula hosted an evening tasting "Vinos Espanoles" and assorted tapas. We kicked the night off with a wonderful Cava. We then tasted several wines from very different and distinct regions around Spain. Joanne outlined just how the different soils and climate influenced these wonderful wines. The wines: Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce, Manchuela Bobal La Casilla (2023); Bodegas Olivares, Jumilla Monastrell Altos De La Hoya (2020); and Bodega Numanthia, Toro Termes. We all look forward to our next event at Firefly Lane.
